As always, Global Learn Day X will open in the Southern Pacific - where the planet begins the new day. From Fiji, New Zealand and Australia we will make our way west to Hawaii, the long way around.
It's a 24 hour, 24 time zone non-stop "Voyage of Discovery" - with loads of interactive participation from an audience gathered from Prague to Perth, from Capetown to Cairo.
Much of it will be broadcast by participating community radio stations and all of it will be available from your desktop or from the telephone.
Voice over IP is provided by Bob Zwick and Jeff Lebow using borrowed stuff from Worldbridges.
The real key to our "technology" is we follow three rules:
Voice over the telephone is provided by Ma Bell.
Radio conversations are heard by through the facilities of several dozen conventional radio stations and Internet radio broadcasters operating worldwide.
NOTE: Callers will be charged their normal and everyday long distance charges for calls to this American number. Callers may decide to use Skype for free calling. Or they may elect to purchase on calling cards which allow calling from most of the world for pennies a minute.
